Neem and Neem Products
Introduction
The people of India have long revered the neem tree (Azadirachta indica). For centuries, millions have cleaned their teeth with neem twigs, smeared skin disorders with neem-leaf juice, taken neem tea as a tonic, and placed neem leaves in their beds, books, grain bins, cupboards, and closets to keep away troublesome bugs. The tree has relieved so many different pains, fevers, infections, and other complaints that it has been called "the village pharmacy." Neem has also been used as a very effective pest repellent in the agriculture even much before the pesticides were invented.
The neem tree (Azadirachta indica) is a tropical evergreen related to mahogany, native to east India and Burma. Every part of the neem tree, may it be the leaves, the bark, the seeds or the flowers have shown specific healing properties in various applications. Thus the extraction of neem in different form have been used for various ailments and as an effective ingredient in formulations of insecticides and pesticides.
Neem oils and extractions contain Azadirachtin as the principle active compound. It is an effective anti-feedent and repellent and has growth disruptive properties on insects and pests. It is oviposition inhibitive and effects egg production. Azadirachtin works especially well to protect plant from defoliation without affecting beneficial pollinating insects.
Neem extracts in oil or powder form are used as the basic raw material in the formulations of Neem based bio-pesticides, Cosmetics, Skin care treatments, veterinary care products and herbal preparations. It is a highly effective, non-toxic and environmentally harmless means of controlling or eliminating the insects/pests that causes damages to crops.

Neem based pesticides are very effective in eliminating the pest menace in the field of agriculture and will replace widely used chemical pesticides. We manufacture a fairly high concentrated neem based biopesticide with an Azadirachtin content of 10000ppm. This has excellent properties like Disturbing or Inhibiting the development of eggs, larvae or pupae, Blocking the molting of larvae or nymphs, Disturbing mating and sexual communication, Deterring feeding etc.
Neem Powder: Azadirachtin (A) – 10% w/w
Azadex Technical is the extract of neem with a concentration of the active ingredient Azadirachtin (A) 10% w/w and the rest other triterpenoids. Azadirachtin has been identified as neem’s principal active compound. It acts on insects by repelling them, inhibiting feeding, and disrupting their growth, metamorphosis and reproduction. Azadirachtin affects insect physiology by a natural hormone. It affects egg production and hatching rates. In larvae, azadirachtin can inhibit molting, preventing them from developing into pupae. Azadirachtin works especially well to protect plants from defoliation without affecting beneficial pollinating insects.
Uses:
Azadex is used as the basic raw material in the formulations of Neem based biopesticides, veterinary care products and herbal preparations. Azadex holds out the promise of providing a highly effective, non-toxic and environmentally harmless means of controlling or eliminating the insect pests which causes damages to crops.
Mode of Action:
- Repellent and antifeedent effect : Insects are repelled on contact with Azadex treated area
- Growth inhibition : Azadex causes Morphogenitic defects in pests coming in contact.
- This ensures that young insects ingested with Azadex, do not reach adulthood.
- Effect on reproduction : The insect’s which ingest Azadex succumb to behavioural and physiological stresses and starvation. The insects’s reproductive physiology is invariably impaired.

Mode of Action
BIOMASK is a urea-coating agent, which possesses the characteristics of neem in a refined manner. The blending of urea with neem is an age-old practice to effectively slow down the nitrate conversion of nitrogen and prevent the leaching loss of urea. The basis of this blending is that neem contains certain biochemical called TRITERPENES having bacteriostatic properties. These bio-chemicals retard the activity of the nitrosomonas bacteria responsible for nitrification. Coating of urea with BIOMASK controls nitrification effectively ensuring its slow and targeted supply of Nitrogen to the plants.
Dosage
Blending 1 % of BIOMASK to the quantity of urea to be applied (500 Ml. for 50 kilos of urea) and mixing thoroughly to get coated with entire quantity will ensure best result.
Method of Application
Spread the required quantity of urea in shade and pour 1 % of the BIOMASK to the quantity of urea taken and thoroughly mix to get uniform coat to the entire quantity of the urea granules. Keep in shade for about 3 hours before application, for better results
Benefits of Using Biomask
- Reduces the loss of Nitrogen in urea substantially by enabling slow and steady release of the required nitrogen to the plants and ultimately minimizes the application rate of urea by 30%.
